Appalachian Ferns // First Print
In October of 2023 my brother-in-law, nephew, and son spent a weekend backpacking a piece of the Appalachian Trail. It was a trip we had talked about for over 8 years and it was definitely worth the wait for our boys to become strapping quick-witted teens. They helped spare our backs and kept us laughing and feeling young. I snapped this shot on our last morning while we were hiking out. Although these ferns were showing signs of autumn decay they were still reaching for that morning light.
2023 / Slatington, PA
The frame is made from an old stock of rough sawn tongue and groove pine that was left over from a barn renovation in Pipersville, PA.
Giclee print on velvet fine art paper: 13” X 13”
Frame Size: 14.25” X 14.25”
